HiTHIUM, Turbo Energy Unveil 366 MWh Software-Defined Storage Ecosystem

366 MWh Software-Defined Storage Ecosystem

At Intersolar Europe, energy storage specialist HiTHIUM and AI-driven energy integrator Turbo Energy (Nasdaq: TURB) unveiled the first project of their strategic partnership: a 366 MWh battery energy storage deployment that combines HiTHIUM’s advanced BESS containers with Turbo Energy’s AI optimization platform. The partners say the project creates one of Europe’s most advanced software-defined industrial energy ecosystems.

The rollout spans 15 industrial facilities of a major European industrial group. So far, 21 HiTHIUM containerized systems have been delivered, each offering 6.25 MWh of capacity and powered by the company’s 4-hour 1175Ah LFP batteries. For the first time, Turbo Energy’s AI-driven energy management software has been integrated directly into the battery containers, enabling adaptive, software-defined operation. The 4-hour duration is designed for peak shaving and load shifting, critical for energy-intensive industrial users.

The collaboration stems from a strategic agreement inked in 2025, aimed at delivering intelligent, software-defined energy storage infrastructure for large-scale commercial and industrial (C&I) projects. The combined solution allows C&I customers to manage energy hardware and software holistically.

Addressing industrial energy pressures

Electro-intensive industries in Europe are under increasing strain from rising operational costs, energy price volatility, and grid instability. The integrated BESS, AI, and energy management system architecture with clean power generation addresses these challenges by offering a model where energy assets can be orchestrated to improve efficiency and stability.

According to the companies, the 15-site deployment illustrates their ability to supply fully optimized, end-to-end solar and storage solutions for complex C&I environments. Turbo Energy’s software transforms HiTHIUM’s battery storage into intelligent assets that reduce exposure to energy price swings and enhance operational resilience.

“Our partnership with Turbo Energy reflects HiTHIUM’s commitment to delivering intelligent, high-performance energy storage solutions tailored to the needs of Europe’s large-scale C&I (Commercial & Industrial) enterprises,” said Kelson Li, Vice President of HiTHIUM Europe. “As large commercial and industrial energy users face increasing pressure from energy cost volatility, grid constraints, and decarbonization targets, the combination of advanced long-duration battery storage and AI-driven energy management is becoming increasingly critical. By integrating HiTHIUM’s proven battery storage technology with Turbo Energy’s optimization capabilities, we are enabling large-scale C&I customers to deploy more resilient, efficient, and economically optimized energy infrastructures. This project demonstrates how software-defined energy storage can deliver measurable operational and financial value for energy-intensive enterprises while supporting a more sustainable industrial energy future.”

“This project demonstrates how industrial energy infrastructure is evolving beyond hardware,” added Mariano Soria, CEO of Turbo Energy. “The next generation of energy systems will be defined by intelligence, optimization and real-time decision-making. By combining HiTHIUM’s advanced storage technology with Turbo Energy’s AI-driven platform, we are transforming battery systems into intelligent energy assets capable of adapting to industrial operating conditions, improving efficiency and supporting long-term competitiveness. We believe software-defined energy infrastructure will become a critical foundation for the future of industrial electrification.”
