Bangkok, July 2026 – The ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week (ASEW) 2026 took place from July 1 to 3 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, bringing together the region’s most influential renewable energy players. BYD Energy Storage made a prominent appearance with its utility-scale BYD Haohan system and residential offerings, including the Battery-Box LV5.0+ and Battery-Box HVE, injecting fresh momentum into Southeast Asia’s energy storage market. Dr. Veerapat Kiatfuengfoo, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, toured the company’s booth, observing both large-scale and home storage exhibits and expressing strong approval of BYD’s technological edge and product strength.
The BYD Haohan is powered by the world’s largest mass-produced 2710Ah blade battery dedicated to energy storage, delivering more than 300% higher capacity compared to conventional products. Its smallest system unit reaches 14.5 MWh, achieving a volumetric energy density of 233.8 kWh/m³ — a 51.4% improvement over the industry average. With an IP66 protection rating, the enclosure offers excellent resistance to moisture, water and high temperatures, enabling the system to reliably withstand the hot and humid conditions typical across Southeast Asia.
The Battery-Box LV5.0+ pairs with the Power-Box low-voltage inverter to form BYD Energy Storage’s first integrated low-voltage residential solution. Its modular design scales flexibly from 5.12 kWh up to 163.84 kWh. The system supports up to 1C charge and discharge rates as well as 100% depth of discharge, addressing high-frequency, high-power usage scenarios. Quick-connect wiring, one-touch automatic commissioning and broad compatibility with mainstream inverter brands greatly simplify installation and lower the barrier for homeowners.
Battery-Box HVE is BYD’s high-voltage home storage product, featuring an ultra-slim 140 mm profile and supporting both wall-mounted and floor-standing installation — an ideal fit for space-constrained environments. It offers 4.2 kWh and 6.4 kWh capacity modules, and up to three towers can be connected in parallel for a total of 70.74 kWh, flexibly matching different energy demands. Backed by a 15-year warranty and combined with BYD’s Power-Box high-voltage inverter series, the HVE delivers a one-stop home energy solution.
BYD Energy Storage highlighted its full-stack in-house expertise spanning from “3C” (cells, power chips, AI computing chips) to “3S” (BESS, PCS, EMS), backed by an integrated supply chain, closed-loop manufacturing and large-scale mass production. The company positions itself not just as an energy storage manufacturer but as a trusted long-term value partner, committed to maximizing asset lifecycle service value for customers’ storage power plants. Looking ahead, BYD Energy Storage plans to continue leveraging its efficient and reliable technology chain to work with global partners and accelerate the green energy transition.
