HiTHIUM Begins Mass Production and Delivery of 587Ah ∞Cell Battery

HiTHIUM, a globally recognized energy storage technology provider, has announced the start of mass production and initial deliveries of its high-capacity ∞Cell 587Ah battery at its Xiamen facility. This achievement signals the energy storage industry’s transition into the “500Ah+ era” and reinforces HiTHIUM’s role in advancing high-quality, large-scale battery manufacturing.

∞Cell 587Ah: A Breakthrough in Long-Duration Energy Storage


Amid accelerating global energy transition efforts, demand for long-duration storage solutions continues to grow. High-capacity cells and systems are increasingly critical for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening safety across applications.

HiTHIUM initiated research into long-duration energy storage in 2022. A year later, the company introduced the world’s first 1,000Ah+ cell and a 6MWh+ system using a four-by-four cluster architecture for applications exceeding four hours. Building on this innovation, the ∞Cell 587Ah was developed in 2024 for two-hour systems. Derived from the ∞Cell 1175Ah, the 587Ah model shares the same ∞Pack and ∞Power platforms while delivering half the capacity. Through material, process, and structural improvements, the battery achieves 94.5% efficiency, supports over 10,000 cycles, and offers high performance, safety, and adaptability.

The recently launched ∞Power 6.25MWh system, equipped with the ∞Cell 587Ah, further broadens HiTHIUM’s product lineup, extending its reach across diverse usage scenarios.

Manufacturing Excellence: PPB-Level Defect Control

To support high-volume production of the ∞Cell 587Ah, HiTHIUM upgraded its Xiamen production line with digital and intelligent technologies. These enhancements raised single-line efficiency by 17.1% and increased process capability (Cpk) to over 1.33. Multi-pass anode rolling, refined interface control, and high-precision thermal management reduced electrode rebound by more than 50% and improved temperature accuracy by 50%, achieving part-per-billion (PPB) defect levels.

The production line incorporates nearly 2,000 smart devices for full automation and real-time monitoring. Statistical Process Control (SPC) ensures parameter consistency, while AI-powered vision inspection—deployed at over 13 stations with 390+ CCD sensors and 3D cameras—conducts more than 1,200 checks per unit, identifying defects as small as 0.3mm and guaranteeing flawless output.
