CALB Debuts Pioneering Marine Battery ESS at Nor-Shipping

Zhiyuan Marine Battery Energy Storage System (ESS)

On June 2nd, CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery) made a striking debut at the 60th Nor-Shipping exhibition in Norway with its Zhiyuan Marine Battery Energy Storage System (ESS). As the sole battery enterprise exhibitor at this "Olympics of the global shipping industry," CALB injected powerful momentum into the green transformation of global shipping with multiple innovative technologies.

As the birthplace of the global electric vessel technology revolution, Norway boasts a massive green shipping market and leads the world in electric vessel penetration. In these polar waters, CALB is deeply engaged in the historic process of global maritime decarbonization, contributing Chinese expertise.

| Innovation-Driven: Leading the New Era of Electric Vessels

Leveraging its self-developed Zhiyuan battery cells, CALB's Marine Battery ESS successfully addresses three major challenges in the shipping industry, with leading performance metrics:

  • ✔ Intelligent Thermal Management: Ensures all-climate endurance, maintaining over 95% available capacity even in extreme cold of -30°C.

  • ✔ Ultra-Fast Charging Design: Supports sustained 2C and peak 4C high-power charging, increasing vessel operational efficiency by 40%.

  • ✔ Proprietary Safety Protection System: Achieves a cycle life exceeding 12,000 cycles. Additionally, to withstand the extreme operating conditions of Nordic seas, the system features a multi-dimensional anti-surge structure and a triple-layer anti-salt-spray system. It remains stable in conditions of Force 12 winds and 10-meter wave heights, making it suitable for polar research vessels, electric tugs in the North Sea oilfields, and zero-emission ferries in Norwegian fjords.

CALB will continue to propel the shipping industry towards greater safety, intelligence, and sustainability, collaborating with global partners to chart a bold course towards net-zero emissions in maritime transport.
