Welion Unveils 410Wh/kg & 480Wh/kg Semi-Solid Battery Cells in Stuttgart

Welion New Energy has unveiled two new hybrid solid-liquid cells—the SHP410 and SHP480—at The Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany. The launches highlight the company's cutting-edge semi-solid battery technology and target the global lightweight power industry.

As its mainstream mass-production model, the SHP410 uses a silicon-carbon anode system, which provides enhanced safety over lithium metal designs and is tailored for lightweight power applications in Europe. Key parameters include a 45,000 mAh capacity, 410 Wh/kg energy density, and 5C peak continuous discharge. The cell operates from -20°C to 55°C with strong low-temperature performance and has received UN38.3 certification. Welion has completed key technical verification and plans to begin mass production in Q3 2026 to ensure stable delivery for European customers. Target applications include UAVs, humanoid robots, portable outdoor power stations, electric mobility devices, and other fields requiring high energy density, light weight, and high reliability.

The SHP480, presented as the technology flagship, represents Welion's latest advance in hybrid solid-liquid batteries and claims a global lead in ultra-high energy density. It delivers 50,000 mAh capacity, 480 Wh/kg energy density, and 5C peak continuous discharge, also with UN38.3 certification. Product development has been completed and the cell is primarily available for high-end customized orders. It is suited for high-end lightweight equipment, special mobile power supplies, high-power smart devices, and other sectors that demand extreme energy density, power performance, and environmental adaptability.

The dual launch underscores Welion's strength in semi-solid battery technology and marks a strategic move to deepen its European market presence and refine localized products and services.
