BYD Energy Storage Showcases Utility and Residential Solutions at All Energy Australia 2026

MELBOURNE—At All Energy Australia 2026, held from Oct. 28 to 29 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, BYD Energy Storage presented core utility-scale and residential products, highlighting storage solutions spanning the source-grid side and the user side. The event is one of the largest clean energy exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region.

The MC Cube-XT BESS is the core equipment of BYD Energy Storage’s newly launched GW-level grid-forming solution 2.0. It is equipped with a 1980Ah energy-storage dedicated blade battery and is suitable for storage scenarios of two hours or more. The GC Flux PCS 2.0 is a 20-foot unit with 10MW power, PCS conversion efficiency of up to 99.50% and 3x 10-second overload capability, according to the company, aimed at grid-forming operation and short-time overload support for very large storage plants. Together, they form the station-level standardized GC Block, with single-block capacity of up to 62MWh, supporting rapid implementation and scaled deployment of GW-level storage projects.

BYD Haohan has a minimum unit capacity of 14.5MWh and achieves 10MWh capacity in an equivalent 20-foot container, reducing container count and footprint while simplifying the management architecture. With IP66 protection, it is designed to adapt to high-temperature, high-humidity and sandy or dusty environments, making it highly suitable for storage applications in special natural environments such as Australian mining areas.

On the residential side, BYD Energy Storage displayed its home storage ecosystem, including Power-Box TH5/6/8/10/12/15K three-phase inverters, Battery-Box HVB high-voltage battery, and three new products: Smart Ecobox, Backup-Box and AC Charging box. The ecosystem further integrates home PV generation, storage, backup power and EV charging. HVM+ paired with Power-Box SH3/3.7/4.6/5/6K single-phase inverters offers flexible configurations for single-phase grid households. LVS targets low-voltage scenarios to meet different household storage needs.
