HiTHIUM Inaugurates $200M Texas Manufacturing Hub, Accelerating U.S. Clean Energy Transition

The panel discussion on localization

Energy storage innovator HiTHIUM has officially opened its expansive new manufacturing facility in Mesquite, Texas, marking a strategic leap in U.S. clean energy infrastructure development. The May 28th ceremony drew over 200 attendees, including industry executives, government officials, and community stakeholders, who toured the advanced production complex amid ribbon-cutting festivities.

Spanning 484,441 square feet, the $200 million facility represents one of North America’s most significant energy storage investments. Slated for late-2025 production launch, it will manufacture battery modules and systems at 10GWh annual capacity while generating approximately 200 high-skilled local jobs.

Company leadership emphasized the project’s dual focus on technological innovation and community integration. Mizhi Zhang, HiTHIUM’s President of Global Business, stated: "This isn’t merely expansion—it’s embedding our commitment to localized education, production, and service networks. We’re establishing coast-to-coast reliability benchmarks for the U.S. energy storage sector."

James Boswell, Vice President of North America Operations, highlighted strategic supply chain partnerships during a localization panel: "Our model balances Texas-based responsiveness with global scalability—a blueprint for resilient clean energy ecosystems."

Mesquite Mayor Daniel Alemán Jr. underscored the project’s socioeconomic impact, noting collaborations with 40 school districts and Dallas College to cultivate workforce talent: "HiTHIUM isn’t just building batteries; they’re powering opportunity pipelines for our next-generation energy professionals."

Founder Jeff Wu framed the facility as a keystone in HiTHIUM’s worldwide strategy: "Texas fuels an interconnected supply chain for the global energy transition. True resilience springs from this fusion of local investment and international vision."

The Mesquite hub positions HiTHIUM to significantly expand domestic production of grid-scale and commercial storage solutions, aligning with federal clean energy initiatives while anchoring regional economic growth.
