Yunnan's Major Energy Storage Project Goes Live in Xiangyun

DALI, YUNNAN – Great Power has facilitated the successful grid integration of China Energy Investment Corporation's 200MW/400MWh independent shared energy storage station at Xiangyun County Industrial Park. Now operating stably, this ranks among Yunnan Province's largest energy storage installations.

The 200MW/400MWh facility absorbs surplus renewable energy during peak wind/solar generation and delivers reliable power during industrial high-demand periods. It provides essential grid services including peak shaving and stabilization of renewable output fluctuations.

For this project, Great Power deployed DC-side storage systems using highly reliable LFP batteries, noted for safety, energy efficiency, and extended cycle life. An integrated intelligent operations platform ensures long-term system durability and maximizes economic returns.
