Chinese battery manufacturer EVE Energy made a prominent appearance at the 18th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2026), which opened on May 13 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The exhibition drew nearly 3,200 industry-leading enterprises and more than 300,000 professional visitors, cementing its status as one of the world's foremost platforms for battery technology exchange and commercial collaboration.

EVE Energy leveraged the occasion to present its complete lithium battery product matrix alongside a suite of next-generation technologies, offering a comprehensive look at the company's industrialization achievements and its integrated strengths across the battery supply chain. Company representatives described the showcase as an invitation for global partners to jointly explore opportunities arising from the ongoing global energy transition.

Three Core Product Lines on Display

Aligned with China's dual-carbon strategy and the accelerating growth of the new energy sector, EVE Energy structured its exhibition around three mature product systems — energy storage batteries, EV power batteries, and cylindrical batteries — while simultaneously spotlighting several forward-looking technology initiatives.

Energy Storage: Industry Benchmark in Safety and Efficiency

A centerpiece of the energy storage display was the LF628K large-format energy storage cell, which EVE credits with a series of industry firsts: the first to be publicly announced, the first to enter mass production, and the first to reach commercial deployment. The cell's appeal rests on its combination of high safety, high efficiency, and extended cycle life.

LF628K & Mr. Giant 1.0 — Key Figures
  • Cumulative cell production has surpassed 1 million units
  • Cumulative order backlog stands at 25 GWh
  • Mr. Giant 1.0 5 MWh system: stable operation exceeding 600 days
  • System energy efficiency above 95.5%
  • System temperature differential controlled to ≤4°C

Also on display was the Mr. Giant 1.0, a 5 MWh energy storage system that has demonstrated sustained reliability in large-scale project deployments, positioning it as a credible solution for utility-grade storage infrastructure.

EV Power Batteries: Serving Commercial and Passenger Markets

In the commercial vehicle segment, EVE Energy reported that its medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicle power batteries rank second globally by installed capacity. The company's Open Source Battery 4.0 AI Battery is designed to push beyond the conventional economic boundaries of commercial vehicles, supporting the logistics sector's transition toward greener, more cost-efficient operations.

For the passenger EV market, EVE introduced a prismatic stacked-cell battery engineered for ultra-fast charging and broad platform compatibility — characteristics the company says are well suited to the current wave of vehicle platform upgrades. Meanwhile, its large-format cylindrical battery for premium vehicles has achieved a notable milestone: global launch fitment in BMW's Neue Klasse models, the automaker's next-generation electric vehicle architecture.

The company noted that its domestic EV battery installed capacity ranked fifth in China in 2025, reflecting steady gains in market share and manufacturer confidence.

Cylindrical Batteries: Broad Coverage Across Applications

EVE Energy's cylindrical battery division reported that its lithium primary battery sales and exports have ranked first in China for ten consecutive years, while its cylindrical battery shipments hold the domestic top position and place in the global top four.

The company has established what it describes as the world's first cylindrical battery lighthouse factory, a digitally advanced manufacturing facility recognized for operational excellence. Its full range of large-format cylindrical cells serves diverse end markets including new energy vehicles, low-altitude aviation, intelligent equipment, IoT devices, and outdoor power tools. The company's lightweight power solutions were also noted as having been among the first to obtain certification under China's latest mandatory safety standards for the category.

Next-Generation Technology in Focus

Beyond its commercial product lineup, EVE Energy dedicated a portion of its exhibition space to emerging technology platforms. The company presented research and development progress on sodium-ion batteries, lithium-metal secondary batteries, all-solid-state batteries, and hydrogen energy applications — each representing a distinct pathway for post-lithium-ion energy storage.

These showcases were framed as evidence of the company's commitment to accelerating the transition of frontier technologies from the laboratory toward industrial-scale production, with the goal of building long-term competitive reserves for the industry as a whole.

Outlook: Global Expansion and Green Innovation

In remarks associated with the exhibition, EVE Energy reaffirmed that technology innovation remains the core driver of its long-term development strategy. The company signaled its intention to deepen R&D investment, refine high-quality product offerings, and continue expanding its full-scenario lithium battery solutions portfolio. Alongside these product-focused commitments, EVE pointed to a broadening global footprint as a priority, framing international partnerships as central to enabling the energy transition across multiple industries worldwide.

With CIBF 2026 drawing participants from across the global battery value chain, EVE Energy's multi-domain display illustrated both the scale of the company's current industrial output and the ambition of its research roadmap — a combination that industry observers will likely watch closely as competition in the global battery market continues to intensify.
