CORNEX Showcases Cylindrical Battery Portfolio at CEB 2026

Cylindrical Battery Portfolio

Nanjing, October 22, 2026—At the China Jiangsu International Electric Vehicle Exhibition (CEB 2026) in Nanjing, CORNEX presented a cylindrical battery portfolio covering lithium-ion and sodium-ion technologies. The company said the cells target light electric mobility and portable energy storage applications.

For LFP, CORNEX displayed cylindrical cells in 13Ah, 20Ah, 30Ah and 50Ah capacities for varied operating conditions. The 20Ah cell uses an all-tab design and supports 1C charging and 2C discharging. It operates from -30°C to 60°C, retains more than 85% discharge capacity at -20°C and more than 80% charging capacity at low temperatures, and offers over 2,500 cycles under 1C fast charging, making it suitable for frequent-charging uses. A bidirectional pressure-relief structure is included for safety. The cell meets applicable Chinese national standards for EV and energy-storage applications and relevant international requirements, including UL, IEC, UN and RoHS.

The 13Ah LFP cell is designed for high-power output and cold-weather operation, with instantaneous discharge rates up to 35C and 10C discharge at -30°C. Its cycle life reaches the 10,000-cycle range under 4C conditions. CORNEX said the cell was developed to automotive-grade standards and has undergone extreme-condition validation based on U.S. standards.

CORNEX also showed 10Ah and 15Ah sodium-ion cylindrical cells. The series supports discharge rates up to 30C, with peak current reaching 450A. Cycle life exceeds 8,000 cycles at 1C and reaches 4,000 cycles at 5C. Operating from -40°C to 70°C, the cells retain at least 90% discharge capacity at -30°C. They have passed nail-penetration and thermal-runaway tests and support 0V over-discharge, which the company said improves safety during storage and transportation.
