BYD Energy Storage Shows Grid and Home Storage in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, UK — BYD Energy Storage appeared at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026, the UK’s largest solar and energy storage exhibition, held at the NEC Birmingham from September 22 to 24. The company presented its core products and joined global partners to discuss new opportunities in the UK’s energy transition.

The company displayed a full-scenario storage portfolio for source-grid and user-side applications, underlining its full-stack in-house capabilities from battery cells to the grid. MC Cube-XT BESS is the core equipment of BYD Energy Storage’s newly launched GW-level grid-forming solution 2.0. It features a 1980Ah energy-storage blade battery and is suitable for two-hour-plus storage scenarios. With GC Flux PCS 2.0, it forms the standardized plant-level GC Block, with a single Block capacity of up to 62MWh.

BYD Haohan targets high-integration scenarios. Its minimum unit capacity is 14.5MWh, and its IP66 protection rating is designed to suit the UK’s rainy and humid climate.

For residential use, BYD Energy Storage introduced a new home energy ecosystem and the Battery-Box Mega small commercial and industrial solution. It also exhibited Battery-Box HVB, HVE and HVM+ residential batteries and Power-Box series inverters, offering full-scenario home energy solutions.

The home energy ecosystem consists of three new products—Smart Ecobox, Backup-Box and AC Charging box—and works with the Battery-Box HVE and Power-Box TH storage system. It creates a one-stop home energy solution combining generation, storage, management, backup and charging.

Battery-Box Mega combines commercial and industrial-grade performance with residential-level convenience. It uses LFP cells and a four-layer safety protection architecture, and pairs with the Power-Box TH inverter. It can serve small factories, farms, shops, hotels and other applications.
