They are a popular battery for use in utility meters; particularly the new smart electricity meters, and automated meter reading devices. Saft LS14500 batteries are also used in security equipment, such as wireless alarm systems, window and door contacts. LS14500 batteries are also known as ER14500 or ER14505.
