
BYD Energy Storage has globally launched its new-generation energy storage product, "Hao Hang," along with a GW-scale grid-forming energy storage solution during a live broadcast at the 2025 International Digital Energy Expo. Marking a significant milestone, this introduction establishes new industry standards for capacity, efficiency, and safety in the green energy sector.
The "Hao Hang" system is equipped with the world's largest energy storage-specific blade battery, boasting a capacity of 2710Ah. This represents an increase of over 300% compared to conventional industry batteries, achieving a disruptive breakthrough in energy density that simplifies system architecture and significantly enhances reliability. It serves as a new starting point for BYD to lead the next generation of energy storage technology.
With a minimum unit capacity of 14.5MWh, "Hao Hang" leads the global market. It achieves an ultra-large capacity of 10MWh within an equivalent 20-foot container, embodying the concept of "immense energy within a compact space." This design requires fewer containers, reduces land usage, and simplifies management, contributing substantial power to new electrical systems.
In system integration, "Hao Hang" achieves a world-leading Vcts (cell-to-system volume ratio) of 52.1%, demonstrating superior integration capabilities. It also possesses the highest global protection rating of IP66, making it fully resistant to dust and capable of withstanding harsh environments like sandstorms, setting a comprehensive benchmark.

Paired with BYD's new-generation energy storage converter, the GC Flux PCS, and the GC Master EMS, "Hao Hang" forms a GW-scale grid-forming solution. This solution robustly supports the greening of the power grid across generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption, accelerating the development of new power systems.
