HEFEI, China – Sungrow, the globally recognized PV inverter and energy storage system provider, concluded its third Global Renewable Energy Summit (GRES 2026) on April 25, drawing more than 500 international experts, partners, and industry stakeholders. Under the banner “Value-Driven, Scenario-Proven,” the four-day event underscored Sungrow’s expanding worldwide influence and reinforced its position as a key driver of renewable energy innovation, according to media briefings from the summit.
Throughout the summit, the company unveiled a broad portfolio of scenario-specific solutions aimed at building a resilient, low-carbon energy ecosystem. Offerings ranged from integrated PV-storage systems and mining microgrids to EV charging infrastructure and PV-BESS-hydrogen applications. Multiple technical white papers, real-world case studies, and live testing results were also presented. “We believe a premium energy solution requires multi-energy integration for low-cost power, systematic grid-forming technologies for power stability, and customized designs for diverse scenarios,” said Jack Gu, Vice Chairman of Sungrow, in a keynote address. “From every ray to every watt, for every return — this is how we maximize value across the entire energy chain,” he added.
During GRES 2026, Sungrow introduced PowerMatrix, a novel system architecture for renewable energy grids. Built on five breakthroughs — multi-port topology, native PV-storage integration, distributed control, reconfigurable energy paths, and source-level grid-forming — the platform merges PV, storage, grid, and loads into a unified multi-node network. Energy flows can be dynamically routed, balanced, and optimized in real time, reshaping system stability, cost, and efficiency across the entire power chain. The company also launched the Matrix Inverter, the core hardware enabling the PowerMatrix system.
Another major reveal was the PowerTitan 3.0, Sungrow’s next-generation utility-scale energy storage system. Engineered for high profitability and enhanced safety, it integrates 600+ Ah stacked battery cells with a fully liquid-cooled SiC PCS, achieving a round-trip efficiency (RTE) of up to 92%. Thanks to an AC block design that supports factory pre-installation and pre-commissioning, the system can self-configure and self-check within one hour — enabling a 1 GWh project to be deployed in just 12 days, representatives noted.
Sungrow released the AI Data Center Full-chain Power Supply Solution White Paper at the summit, analyzing key trends and power-supply technology evolution for AI infrastructure. The paper introduces a grid-to-chip solution based on a “Green–Gray–White” three-space architecture, designed to support MW-level racks and GW-scale clusters while enhancing safety, stability, and low-carbon performance. The company also announced plans to launch a new generation of high-efficiency solid-state transformer later this year.
In partnership with TÜV Rheinland and the China Electrotechnical Society, Sungrow issued a white paper on mining microgrid power solutions. The full-stack proprietary solution covers medium-scale systems (2.5MW–20MW), large projects (20MW–100MW), and multi-microgrid clusters above 100MW. Built on a fully self-developed architecture spanning PV, wind, storage, charging, and integrated energy management, it enables coordinated asset control and optimized performance in remote, complex mining environments.
Sungrow Hydrogen showcased its advanced off-grid hydrogen production technologies, focusing on wind-solar integration and modular turnkey solutions. The company’s upgraded PV-storage-hydrogen off-grid test platform has successfully passed long-term validation, overcoming core technical hurdles. Its off-grid hydrogen production solution has already been deployed in Europe, contributing to the regional hydrogen economy.
To address rising grid complexity and instability, Sungrow has developed comprehensive grid-forming (GFM) capabilities across solar, wind, and storage systems. At GRES 2026, the company announced the successful completion of the world’s first large-scale full-condition grid-forming extreme test. The test covered 14 scenarios over 138 hours and was independently witnessed and certified by TÜV Rheinland, aligning with grid codes and requirements of major global markets — a crucial step for high renewable penetration worldwide.
⚡ C&I segment milestone: Sungrow unveiled its full-scenario ecosystem with the PowerKeeper, PowerStack, and PowerTitan series. The PowerKeeper series successfully passed seven extreme challenge tests — becoming the industry’s first modular C&I ESS validated under such comprehensive conditions. The tests span environmental resilience, structural integrity, and intrinsic safety, addressing pain points from installation to maintenance. Sungrow highlights “0 Waste, 0 Outage, 7 Ups” as the design philosophy for the PowerKeeper series.
During the summit, witnessed by an international audience, Sungrow signed strategic project agreements with leading partners, securing over 11 GWh in new orders. According to the company, these landmark projects strengthen its rapidly growing global footprint and deepen strategic alignment with industry-leading partners. Building on its Tier-1 status as a PV inverter supplier, Sungrow reported 143 GW of inverter shipments and 43 GWh of energy storage deliveries in 2025. Moving forward, the company reiterates its commitment to delivering value-driven, scenario-proven solutions that empower industries worldwide and accelerate the sustainable energy transition.
